SSC Schedules CGL Re-Examination for October 14 Following Mumbai Incident

The Staff Selection Commission has announced a re-examination for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam on October 14, 2025, specifically for candidates whose original test was interrupted by the Mumbai fire incident on September 26. The commission also addressed malpractice cases detected during the comprehensive examination process.

Malpractice Detection and Security Measures

SSC confirmed that during the examination, several incidents of malpractice came to their notice, with some individuals apprehended by law enforcement agencies for producing fake PwBD documents and attempting to misuse scribe provisions. Remote access attempts were also detected, with detailed analysis currently underway.

For candidates where evidence remains ambiguous, SSC will conduct re-examinations on October 14 to set the record straight. The CGL examinations have concluded at all other centres, with approximately 28 lakh candidates registered and 13.5 lakh appearing across 45 shifts over 15 days at 255 centres in 126 cities.

Answer Key Release and Candidate Feedback

The SSC CGL answer key is scheduled for release on October 15, coinciding with the opening of the objection window. Candidates can review answers and submit objections within the designated timeframe, requiring a non-refundable fee of ₹100 per question.

The candidate feedback portal received 18,920 submissions, with some reporting technical disruptions verified through digital footprints. Affected candidates were rescheduled and given additional opportunities to take the test. The commission has also opened application windows for Delhi Police examinations and SI CPO 2025, with Constable GD 2026 applications opening in November.

NCERT and UGC Collaborate to Integrate Ayurveda into Health Education Curriculum

Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav announced that the National Council of Educational Research and Training and University Grants Commission are working together to integrate Ayurveda into health education curricula across schools and colleges, enabling younger generations to connect with holistic health principles.

Progressive State Implementation

Several states, including Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh, have already integrated the Indian knowledge system into school education. The minister confirmed that discussions are underway with NCERT and UGC for preparing comprehensive course modules for both school and higher education levels.

The initiative focuses on evidence-based research, with high-quality clinical trials conducted through the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences and other research institutions. In partnership with the WHO, standards are being established to strengthen the scientific credibility of Ayurvedic treatments.

Integrated Healthcare Model Development

Jadhav emphasised that the goal is to develop an integrated healthcare model where allopathy and AYUSH systems complement rather than compete with each other. Through the National AYUSH Mission and AYUSH Grid, the government is combining benefits from both systems to provide comprehensive healthcare services.

Under the National AYUSH Mission, AYUSH doctors are being deployed in Health and Wellness Centres, particularly in rural and remote areas, making primary healthcare services more accessible. The ministry has established AYUSH systems with scientific evidence while achieving global acceptance through initiatives like International Yoga Day and the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine.
