CUET UG 2026 Scheduled for May; NTA Urges Document Updates
The National Testing Agency has announced that the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (CUET-UG) will be conducted in May 2026, according to the official notification released today. Ahead of the application process, NTA has urged candidates to ensure that their Aadhaar details, UDID cards, and category certificates are updated to avoid discrepancies, grievances, or possible rejection of applications at later stages.
Pre-Registration Document Verification Requirements
NTA has advised all eligible aspirants to update their documents well in advance of the application window. Candidates must ensure that their Aadhaar card reflects the correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), latest photograph, address, and father's name. Persons with disabilities are required to keep their UDID card or disability certificate valid, updated, and renewed as necessary. Applicants should also verify that their category certificate is current to avoid discrepancies.
The entrance test will be conducted for undergraduate admissions to 47 central universities and over 300 colleges across India. NTA will soon open the online application window for CUET-UG 2026 registration on its official website, cuet.nta.nic.in, with detailed timelines to be announced shortly.

RRB Releases Comprehensive Recruitment Data for Large-Scale Hiring
The Ministry of Railways released significant data on railway recruitment, revealing that over 18 lakh candidates appeared for RRB recruitment examinations conducted for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP), Group D, and Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) positions across 18,794 total vacancies, according to the official statement issued today.
Massive Candidate Participation and Competitive Landscape
This substantial participation reflects the attraction of government sector employment, with candidates across India competing for relatively limited positions. The 18+ lakh applicant pool competing for 18,794 vacancies illustrates the highly competitive nature of railway recruitment, with selection ratios exceeding 900:1 in many cases.
Strategic Importance of Railway Recruitment
Railway recruitment represents one of India's largest public sector hiring drives, providing stable employment opportunities across technical, operational, and support roles. The sheer scale of participation demonstrates continued confidence in government employment despite increasing private sector opportunities.
The data reflects Indian Railways' significant role as a major employer and its importance as a career destination for millions of aspirants nationwide. The comprehensive recruitment across multiple categories—ALP, Group D, and NTPC—ensures opportunities for candidates with diverse educational backgrounds and skill levels.

Examination Format and Document Requirements
The recruitment features a Tier-1 examination with a marking scheme where each correct answer carries three marks, with one mark deducted for every incorrect response and no marks for unanswered questions. Candidates must carry specific documents to the examination centre including a printed admit card, passport-size photograph identical to the uploaded image, and valid photo identity proof.
For persons with disabilities, additional documentation, including disability certificates and any necessary undertakings for scribes, must be brought to the examination venue.
IIM Kozhikode Releases CAT 2025 Final Answer Key
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has released the final answer key for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025, according to today's announcement. The release follows the previous provisioning of provisional answer keys and allows candidates to verify their responses against the authoritative final key.
Answer Key Access and Objection Window
Candidates can access the CAT 2025 final answer key through the official website iimcat.ac.in by logging in with their application credentials. IIM Kozhikode maintains a structured objection window allowing candidates to challenge specific answers if they believe the official key contains errors.
The objection submission process requires detailed justification and supporting evidence for each challenged response. Only objections submitted within the designated timeframe and meeting submission requirements will be considered for potential key modifications.
Score Calculation and Result Timeline
With the final answer key now available, candidates can calculate their likely scores using the specified marking scheme, which awards three marks for correct responses and deducts one mark for incorrect answers across all 100 questions. This information aids candidates in assessing their performance and preparing for subsequent selection phases.
Following answer key finalisation and objection resolution, IIM Kozhikode will announce final CAT 2025 results, enabling MBA programme selection processes across participating institutions. The timeline for result declaration will be communicated through official channels.
