UPTET 2026 Registration Begins Today, March 27
Key dates and official websites
The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has opened registration for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 from today, March 27, 2026, on the official portal upessc.up.gov.in.
As per the official notification and national media reports, the last date to submit the UPTET 2026 application form and pay the examination fee is April 26, 2026, with an application correction window available until May 1, 2026.
The UPTET 2026 written examination is scheduled to be conducted over three days – July 2, July 3, and July 4, 2026 – for both Primary (Classes 1–5) and Upper Primary (Classes 6–8) levels across centres in Uttar Pradesh.
UPESSC has also issued an important advisory warning candidates against a fake website “uptet2026.in” and clarified that registration should be done only through the official government portal upessc.up.gov.in.
Candidates must first complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the UPESSC system, generate their login credentials, and then fill in educational details, upload documents, and pay fees to finish the UPTET 2026 form.
The exam consists of two separate papers of 150 multiple-choice questions each: Paper 1 for eligibility to teach Classes 1–5 and Paper 2 for Classes 6–8, covering child development and pedagogy, language papers, mathematics, and environmental studies.
For General, EWS, and OBC candidates, the fee for both papers is reported as 1,000 rupees, while SC and ST candidates pay 500 rupees and PwD candidates 300 rupees for appearing in both papers, as per the official fee structure carried by NDTV.
Aspirants are advised to keep Aadhaar, Class 10 and 12 marksheets, graduation certificates, training qualification proof, category certificates (if applicable), and scanned photo and signature ready while applying today.
Candidates who plan to appear in July should complete OTR and application submission well before the April 26 deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues on the portal.
JAM 2026 Admissions: JOAPS Application Window Opens March 27
Admission form window and schedule
For candidates who qualified the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2026, the next crucial step begins today as IIT Bombay opens the online admission form on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in.
According to the official JAM 2026 important dates page and admission brochure, the window for submitting the admission form and indicating programme preferences runs from March 27, 2026 to April 15, 2026.
During this period, candidates must log in to JOAPS using their enrolment ID and password, fill in academic details, upload the required documents, and list their preferred institutes and programmes in order of priority.
The tentative admission schedule released by IIT Bombay shows that the first JAM 2026 admission list will be published on May 25, 2026, followed by a deadline of May 30, 2026 for online payment of the seat booking fee for candidates allotted seats.
Subsequent admission lists are scheduled for June 8, June 16, and June 27, 2026, with a withdrawal window available from June 3 to July 3, 2026, giving candidates flexibility to either retain or withdraw their seats.
As per the brochure, admission to about 3,000 seats across 21 IITs for the 2026–27 academic year will be based solely on JAM 2026 scores and satisfaction of eligibility requirements, without any additional written test.
Today’s opening of the admission form is particularly important because candidates who miss the April 15, 2026 deadline will lose the chance to be considered in any of the admission lists.
Students should carefully check minimum educational qualifications, category requirements, and document formats (including caste and disability certificates where applicable) as prescribed in the JAM 2026 Admission Brochure before submitting their JOAPS form.
It is advisable to retain a PDF copy of the submitted admission form and payment receipt from joaps.iitb.ac.in for future reference during counselling and institute-level joining processes.
CUET PG 2026 Exams Run Till Today, March 27
Final exam day and NTA guidelines
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes (CUET PG) 2026 in computer-based mode from March 6, 2026 to March 27, 2026, making today the last examination day in the schedule.
Official notices and time tables confirm that CUET PG 2026 is being held across multiple shifts and on multiple days for 157 subjects at centres nationwide, with exam-city details and subject-wise dates published through exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.
The NTA admit-card notice specifies that admit cards were released in phases for candidates scheduled on different dates including March 6–13, March 16–19, March 24–25, and March 27, 2026, and candidates are required to carry the printed admit card along with a valid photo ID.
For March 27, 2026, examinees must report to their allotted test centres as per the reporting time mentioned on the CUET PG admit card, with the NTA advising students to reach early to complete verification and biometric capture smoothly.
Candidates are instructed to follow NTA’s exam-day guidelines strictly, including restrictions on electronic devices, adherence to dress code where applicable, and use of transparent pens and permitted documents only.
Media coverage and official FAQs emphasise that students should cross-check the date, shift, subject code, and exam city on the admit card to avoid confusion, particularly on the final day when multiple subjects may be scheduled.
After the conclusion of CUET PG 2026 today, NTA is expected to release the provisional answer keys, candidate response sheets, and result dates on the official CUET PG portal in April 2026, as indicated by leading education portals.
Students targeting central universities and participating institutions for postgraduate admissions in 2026–27 should retain their login credentials, admit cards, and application numbers for use during the counselling and seat-allocation processes that will follow.
Aspirants appearing today are advised to plan their travel to the exam centre carefully and follow NTA’s COVID-safety and general discipline instructions to ensure a smooth end to the CUET PG 2026 exam window.
ISC Class 12 Computer Science Board Exam Today, March 27
Official CISCE timetable and exam pattern
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is conducting the ISC Class 12 Board Examinations 2026 from February 12, 2026 to early April, with Computer Science – Paper 1 (Theory) scheduled today, March 27, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The officially released ISC Class 12 datesheet clearly lists Computer Science – Paper 1 (Theory) on March 27, 2026 in the afternoon session, alongside major subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and others across the broader schedule.
According to detailed exam pattern summaries, the Computer Science theory paper is of 70 marks, with an additional 30 marks assigned for practicals, totalling 100 marks for the subject.
CISCE’s timetable and instructions highlight that students must report to the examination hall well before 2:00 PM, with reading time typically allowed before writing begins, and must carry their ISC admit card issued by their schools.
Resources compiled by education portals show that the paper structure includes compulsory short-answer questions, Boolean logic, theory-based questions, and programming/problem-solving sections, aligned with the latest ISC Computer Science syllabus.
Students are encouraged to review the official syllabus and sample papers, and many portals have indicated that detailed question paper analysis and unofficial answer keys will be made available after today’s exam.
Today’s Computer Science paper is one of the later STEM exams in the ISC 2026 calendar, making it significant for students targeting computer science, engineering, and related undergraduate programmes that factor board marks into their eligibility criteria.
CISCE and affiliated schools have advised students to strictly follow exam-day rules on permissible stationery, uniform, and conduct, as any unfair means reported during today’s exam may affect results and certification.
With several ISC papers already completed in March 2026, students are expected to use the gap before Computer Science to consolidate key topics such as data structures, algorithms, and Java programming, which are heavily weighted in the exam blueprint.
JNU MBA Admissions 2026: Apply By March 31
Application deadline and eligibility
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is currently accepting applications for its MBA programme at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship (ABVSME) for the 2026–27 academic session, with the last date to apply set as March 31, 2026.
According to JNU’s official admission notification and national education coverage, candidates must apply online through the portal jnuee.jnu.ac.in, providing their personal details, academic qualifications, and valid CAT 2025 scores.
The application process began on February 10, 2026, and JNU has advised candidates to carefully read the PG and ADOP e-Prospectus 2026–27 for complete eligibility requirements, reservation policy, and documentation guidelines.
For Indian applicants, eligibility includes a bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration after Class 12 from a recognised university, with a minimum of 50 percent marks for General, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS categories, and 45 percent for SC, ST, and PwD categories.
Applicants must have appeared in CAT 2025, and shortlisting for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) will be primarily based on CAT scores, with CAT contributing about 70 percent weight, GD 10 percent, and PI 20 percent to the final selection.
For foreign nationals, JNU specifies a minimum GMAT score (commonly 500 or above) along with a qualifying bachelor’s degree, with selection based on institutional norms and availability of seats in the 75-seat intake.
With the March 31, 2026 deadline approaching, MBA aspirants are expected to complete registration, upload scanned copies of photographs and signatures, and pay the application fee – reported as 2,000 rupees for General/EWS/OBC and 1,000 rupees for SC/ST/PwD candidates – through the online payment gateway.
Education reports highlight that competition for the ABVSME MBA programme is strong, given the limited seat count and the prominence of JNU in national and international rankings, including recent improvements in QS subjectwise rankings.
Aspirants are advised to retain proof of application submission and fee payment from jnuee.jnu.ac.in and to monitor the JNU website for announcements regarding GD/PI schedules and final admission lists after March 31, 2026.
Policy & Skilling Updates: Karnataka Digital Detox Draft and 15,000 AI Scholarships
Karnataka’s draft policy on student screen addiction
The Karnataka government has released a draft Policy for Responsible Digital Use Among Students to address increasing concerns over screen addiction and its impact on adolescent mental health, with key details publicised around March 23–26, 2026.
Jointly developed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Karnataka State Mental Health Authority, the Department of Education, and NIMHANS, the draft policy targets students in Classes 9–12 along with teachers and parents.
Media reports and policy summaries highlight a recommendation to limit recreational screen time to one hour per day outside academic use, alongside integrating digital wellness, online safety, and cyberbullying awareness into school curricula.
Schools are encouraged to form Digital Wellness or Digital Safety Committees comprising principals, teachers, counsellors, parents, and in some cases cybercrime officials to monitor digital behaviour and intervene early when signs of problematic use appear.
The policy also calls for teacher training modules on recognising red flags like social withdrawal, declining academic performance, and mood changes linked to excessive device use, with referral pathways to counselling and mental health professionals.
Offline activities such as sports, arts, reading, and “digital detox” days or weeks are promoted to encourage healthier habits and reduce dependency on screens among school and pre-university students.
National AI Skilling Initiative: 15,000 scholarships with Google and YouTube
At the national level, the government has launched a National AI Skilling Initiative in partnership with Google and YouTube that aims to provide 15,000 youth with free training in artificial intelligence and digital media skills, as announced in late March 2026.
According to the announcement, the scheme is being implemented through the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies and is designed to strengthen India’s “orange economy” – the creative and content industries – by building capabilities in AI-driven content production and digital storytelling.
Alongside this, the MyWAVES digital platform has been introduced to give citizens a space to create, upload, and share content, while a third initiative promotes television sets with in-built satellite tuners and advanced programme guides to improve access to public broadcasting.
Officials emphasise that these initiatives complement broader digital and education policies by expanding access to technology, lowering barriers to content creation, and promoting AI literacy among young learners and early-career professionals.
For students and graduates, the 15,000 AI scholarships create an opportunity to build hands-on skills in generative AI, video production, and digital marketing that can be integrated with formal degrees in engineering, design, media studies, or management.
Aspirants are expected to apply through official programme channels linked from government and partner websites, and to follow updates on detailed eligibility, course structure, and certification pathways as these are rolled out over the coming weeks.
