Computational Neuroscience Lab, IIT Madras presents
1st Bharati Workshop
14th June | 9 AM to 2:30 PM | Free Online Workshop | Participation Certificate will be provided

About the Workshop
Bharati is being proposed as a common script for India. The Roman script is used as a common script for many European languages (English, French, German, Italian etc.), which facilitates communication across nations that speak and write those languages. Likewise a common script for the entire country is hoped to bring down many communication barriers in India.
In this workshop, you’ll get a hands‑on introduction to the Bharati script and learn to read and write Bharati characters through guided exercises. We’ll show you how to install and use our keyboard and transliterator tools for easy digitization and typing. You’ll experience the Mudra Bharati finger‑spelling app to support the deaf and hard‑of‑hearing. Then dive into the Jumble Tumble game competition and take the Bharati Fun Exam to test your new skills.
