Arthy Sriram
With a strong foundation in applied psychology, having completed both undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed Women’s College, Madras University, I am a professional counselor dedicated to promoting emotional and academic well-being. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in individual and group counseling for diverse age groups, including students, adults, and geriatric adults, along with expertise in career counseling, developmental awareness, and corporate workshops. My credentials include certifications such as a school counseling certification from Chennai Counselors Foundation, a Master NLP Practitioner certification by NFNLP USA, and professional supervision certification from the Australian Counseling Association, further strengthened by my memberships with the Chennai Counselors Foundation and the Indian Academy of Professional Supervisors.
In my practice, I adopt a holistic and ethical approach, ensuring compassion and empathy are at the core of my interactions. I have had the privilege of working in private practice in Chennai and serving as a consultant counseling psychologist at institutions such as Chennai Meenakshi Hospital and Atulya Senior Care. I served as a school counselor at Shraddha Children’s Academy from 2016 to 2024, supporting students, teachers, and parents. I have also worked with renowned organizations like Tata Consultancy Services, where I was an in-house counselor, and Teach for India, where I provided guidance and counseling.
My expertise covers a range of critical areas, including adolescent and academic issues, relationship counseling, and workplace challenges. I am fluent in English, Tamil, and Hindi, with spoken proficiency in Malayalam. I believe in fostering developmental awareness and offering support that contributes positively to individuals and organizations alike. Through workshops, career assessments, and counseling sessions, I remain committed to facilitating growth, resilience, and well-being.
