The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will take place from January 21–30, 2026, with Session 2 following from April 1–10, 2026 (NDTV). Registration for Session 1 opens in October 2025, while Session 2 registration will roll out in late January 2026.
Key Application Highlights
NTA advises that candidate data, including Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, and Address, will be collected via Aadhaar authentication. Father/Mother/Guardian’s names are to be filled separately in the online form. If there is a mismatch in the Aadhaar Card and Class 10 Certificate/Marksheet, NTA will offer a one-time correction facility during the application phase.
After registration at jeemain.nta.nic.in, candidates should complete their forms, upload required documents, and verify details for successful exam participation. JEE Main is the gateway for BE/BTech admissions to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and state-funded/recognised institutions. Qualifiers of JEE Main Paper 1 can attempt JEE Advanced for IIT entry (NDTV).
