The Psychological First Aid Training program by IIT Madras Pravartak is designed for teachers and educators to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to support students experiencing emotional distress. Through live expert-led sessions, participants will learn to recognize signs of emotional distress, understand the fundamentals of Psychological First Aid, provide appropriate initial support, and identify when professional intervention or referral is required. Through practical case studies and structured learning, educators will strengthen their ability to respond to student well-being needs with empathy, confidence, and care.

Psychological First Aid Training equips teachers and educators with practical knowledge to recognize and respond to students who may be experiencing emotional or psychological distress. The program introduces the fundamentals of Psychological First Aid, appropriate ways to communicate with students, and the importance of timely referral to professional support.
Through expert-led live sessions, curated learning resources, and practical case studies, participants will learn to respond appropriately while understanding the boundaries of their role as educators.
