Logic being the undercurrent in the study of mathematics, it is essential to develop a broader thinking, through its applications in the expanding world of technology. From solving a fun sudoku puzzle to completing an important scheduled project, the logic of working is much more important than the arithmetic involved in it. This requires creative thinking and a broader perception that is often known as Out of the box thinking. Out of the box thinking is solving problems through an indirect and creative approach, using reasoning that is not immediately obvious, and involving ideas that may not be obtainable by using only traditional step-by-step logic. In this unique course, such thinking is emphasized through rediscovering the known and unknown facts of mathematics logically, with an interesting broader perception of the manner of doing it.

Eligibility
Familiarity with basic concepts and ready mindset for learning non-routine problem-solving skills.
Registration & Certification
- Course is free online.
- Course Registration will be open for each level every year.
- Recorded lectures are posted every week during the ten-week course.
- Students should go through the lectures before practicing the assignments posted biweekly.
- Students desiring certification must opt for the final exam during the Exam Registration process that carries a nominal fee.
- Final exam will be a proctored one and conducted at centres in select cities across India.
- Certification is based on evaluation of the same.
- Grade certificate will be issued by IIT Madras Pravartak only for students who take the exam and get grades.

Shri Sadagopan Rajesh
Shri Sadagopan Rajesh is a passionate Mathematics Educator with 30 years of experience teaching a diverse range of students from ages 10 and up. As the founder director of Aryabhatta Institute of Mathematical Sciences since 1997, he has been conducting programs that foster a love for problem solving, leading to success in Mathematical Olympiads.
Many of his students have pursued careers and research in Mathematics. He has served as a resource person for several Mathematical Olympiad camps and teacher enrichment programs. Collaborating with Prof. Kamakoti V of IIT Madras, he developed courses like Beautiful Maths and the Out of the Box Thinking series.
His popular taglines are: "Keep Enjoying Mathematics; Formulation (Idea) is better than a rented formula." Rajesh believes approaching mathematics with discipline and passion enhances logical and analytical reasoning, essential for success in a rapidly changing technological world.
Certificates based on Grades
Certification is based on evaluation. Grade certificate will be issued by IITM Pravartak only for students who take the exam and get grades. (Nominal Fee Required)
Grade A: 85% & Above
Grade B: 70% to less than 85%
