The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, established in 1983, is an autonomous and not-for-profit institution dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship. Recognized as a National Resource Institute for Entrepreneurship Education, Research, Training, and Institution Building, EDII is supported by apex financial institutions such as IDBI Bank Ltd., IFCI Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., and the State Bank of India (SBI), with additional backing from the Government of Gujarat.

EDII has been acknowledged as a Center of Excellence by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.
