Dr. Arun K. Tangirala
(Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Madras)

Dr. Arun K. Tangirala, a Professor at IIT Madras with a PhD from the University of Alberta and a B. Tech. from IIT Madras, has nearly 20 years of teaching and research experience. Specializing in Process Systems Engineering and Applied Data Science, he has received many awards and authored the renowned text “Principles of System Identification.” Prof. Tangirala serves as Editor-in-Chief of Institution of Engineers India Journal: Series E, and Associate Editor for ASME Journal of Dynamical Systems, Measurements and Control, and Control Engineering Practice Journal. He has guided numerous PhD and Masters students and conducted various outreach programs. He is also the Chief-Coordinator for SWAYAM Prabha – Phase II. Expert areas: Chemical Engineering, Research, AI, Data Science.
