Psychological first aid is a humane, supportive response to a fellow human being who is suffering and who may need support. Psychological first aid is an approach to helping people affected by an emergency, disaster, or traumatic event.
Many researchers, government, and health organizations have supported the idea that early, brief and focused intervention can reduce the social and emotional distress of children and adults after traumatic events by establishing feelings of physical and emotional safety.
This exceptional course is designed to equip educators and school professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to support the mental well-being of students and colleagues effectively.

This training focuses on Psychological First Aid (PFA) which is designed by Pearson's professional learning development team. The training outlines the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and covers the following topics from the CBSE Manual:

Ms Dikshita Choudhury
Ms. Dikshita Choudhury has completed her graduation in Psychology from Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University and further completed her masters from SNDT Women's University, Mumbai. She has a degree in B.Ed from Gauhati University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology from the former. She has worked for over 8 years in the field of teaching and research related to psychology. Her interest in the field pertains to child psychology, emotional health and well-being of children and adolescents, neuro-cognitive psychology and social psychology. She is currently based out of Guwahati, Assam and is working with Pearson Clinical Assessments India as a Senior Content Development Administrator.
