Why to attend?
Students in school often invest significant time and resources preparing for admission into premier colleges without having the necessary interest in the subject they choose to pursue. This mismatch can lead to academic struggles, loss of motivation, and dissatisfaction with one’s future profession.
Many students realise their true interests only later, losing valuable time in course correction towards the right career path.
Parents and students should begin the career exploration process early — particularly during Class 9 and Class 10 — by observing the student’s academic performance, strengths, and areas of improvement. This understanding is crucial to selecting the right stream after Class 10, ensuring that the student enjoys the learning journey and builds a successful career in a field they truly connect with.
The Career Guidance Online Workshop is designed to address these needs through scientific career assessment (My Choice My Future), expert interpretation, and live guidance from an IIT Madras alumnus. Students will:

Balaraju Kondaveeti
Mr. Balaraju Kondaveeti completed his M.S. (Entrepreneurship) from IIT Madras. As part of his M.S. (Entrepreneurship), he founded a company in 2006. Mr. Balaraju holds 2 patents (granted) in the area of Internet Security. These patents were licensed to Lasersoft Infosystems, a Polaris Group company. Mr. Balaraju won the Best Student Plan Award in the Business Plan Conclave Organized by PAN IIT Global Conference 2008. Mr.Balaraju won the National Budding Innovator Award in 2009 from NRDC, a Government of India Enterprise. In 2009, he co-founded BodhBridge Educational Services (P) Limited, which was incubated at IIT Madras. Mr. Balaraju has been a consultant in two large projects at IIT Madras, namely, NPTEL and IITM BS Degree Program.
