Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping students’ futures. They observe the students closely, recognising strengths, weaknesses, talents, and aspirations. Because of this unique advantage, teachers are often the first influencers who can guide students toward meaningful career paths.

This initiative aims to empower teachers of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) by equipping them with essential career guidance and counselling skills. Through this training, teachers will be able to support students in exploring their interests, understanding career options, and making informed academic and professional choices.

This training program is offered by IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, in partnership with BodhBridge Education, a company run by IIT Madras alumni. BodhBridge has over 10 years of experience in the career guidance domain and has collaborated with IIT Madras for the last 5 years on impactful career guidance projects.

This initiative aims to bring high-quality, research-based career guidance training to teachers free of cost, enabling large-scale implementation across Punjab.

Note: Please note that attending the training alone will not entitle you to a certificate. A certificate will be provided based on the performance in the paid post-training assessment.

Mr.Balaraju Kondaveeti (LinkedIn Profile) completed his M.S. (Entrepreneurship) from IIT Madras. He is a B.Tech in ECE from JNTU Hyderabad. As part of his M.S. (Entrepreneurship), he founded a company in 2006. Mr.Balaraju holds 2 patents (granted) in Internet Security.

These patents were licensed to Lasersoft Infosystems, a Polaris group company. Mr.Balaraju won the Best Student Plan Award in the Business Plan Conclave Organized by PAN IIT Global Conference 2008. Mr.Balaraju won the National Budding Innovator Award, in 2009 from NRDC, a Govt. of India Enterprise.

In 2009, he co-founded BodhBridge Educational Services (P) Limited which is incubated in C-TIDES, IIT Madras.BodhBridge ESPL runs the popular portal called btechguru.com and is connected with 2000 educational institutions across the country. BodhBridge has been selected for Nasscom Emerge 50 Awards, 2011. company in 2006. Mr Balaraju has been a consultant in two large projects at IIT Madras, namely, NPTEL and IITM BS Degree Program.

To receive a certificate from IIT Madras Pravartak, participants must follow the steps below:

1. Register separately for the certification exam through the official link provided after the training.
2. Pay a nominal fee to cover the certification and administrative charges.
3. Attend the online assessment, which evaluates your understanding of the training content.
4. Score 40% or above in the exam to qualify for the official certification from IIT Madras Pravartak.

The certification is optional and only applicable to those who choose to register for the exam.

Certification Exam Grading Criteria

Your final grade for the certification exam will be determined based on the percentage of marks you achieve. The grading scale is as follows:

• Grade A – 85% and above
• Grade B – 75% to less than 85%
• Grade C – 60% to less than 75%
• Grade D – 40% to less than 60%
