Theatre is a wonderful space for children to be themselves, overcome fear, build patience and respect, responsibility, communication, and many more. Telling a story, speaking to an audience, becoming a character – all these and more await your child in this exciting one-day workshop. Through various fun-filled activities and theatre games, we will bring out the performer in each child. The workshop will focus on five key aspects:

Face: From smiles to anger to disgust, children will explore their inner emotions and discover how others react to them based on their expressions.

Body: From gestures to physical movements, children will explore the power and usage of non-verbal communication in day-to-day drama.

Voice: From native sounds to language-based speech, children will explore how their voices can do magic in communication and confidence building.

Writing: How drama can be put into words, whether poetry, a story, or a short film. Writing exercises will take them into the world of creative expression.

Story: Understanding and creating a story through oral storytelling as well as creative writing exercises.

Vikram Sridhar is a Performance Storyteller and theatre practitioner who believes in Storytelling as a strong medium for Conservation and Conversation, which is highly relevant in the modern context.
