The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) hosted the National Skill Expo and Guidance Festival 2025 on February 6, 2025, at Delhi Public School, Pali Road, Jodhpur. This event aimed to promote skill education and career readiness among students nationwide, providing a platform for showcasing innovative projects and gaining insights from industry experts.

Inauguration and Keynote Addresses The event was inaugurated by Rahul Singh, IAS, CBSE Chairman, along with Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy, IAS, Principal Secretary, Government of Kerala, and Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Skill Education), CBSE. They emphasized the importance of skill development in modern education and the need to prepare students for future career opportunities.

  2. Showcasing Innovative Projects Over 1,650 students from 46 teams representing 13 states and 2 union territories participated in the Skill Expo. Students showcased their innovative projects in emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, beauty and wellness, banking, and finance. The event provided a dynamic space for students to present their talents and explore various career paths.

  3. Expert-Led Sessions The Guidance Festival featured expert-led sessions on various topics, including aviation careers, the role of design and technology in skill education, and promoting skill education in schools. Capt. Poonam Devrakhyani, an Airline Pilot and Aviation Consultant, shared insights into opportunities in the aviation industry. A panel discussion on the role of design and technology in skill education included insights from Archana Surana, Director of ARCH College of Design and Business, Sandeep Sethi, Director of Education at Jaipur City Palace Museum, Anamika Das, Head of ESRI, and Sanjeev Shivesh, CEO of ThinkStartup.

  4. Competition and Recognition The event culminated in recognizing the top projects, with SSVM School of Excellence, Coimbatore, and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Vidyashram, Jaipur, jointly securing the first position. The competition highlighted the exceptional talent and ingenuity of India's young minds.

  5. Interactive Sessions and Community Engagement The event was held in an engaging format, with multiple episodes featuring interactive sessions with students from across the country. This inclusive approach ensured that diverse perspectives were represented, fostering a sense of community and shared learning.
