IIM Kozhikode Releases CAT 2025 Admit Cards for 2.95 Lakh Candidates
The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode has issued admit cards for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 on its official website, according to today's announcement. Candidates registered to appear for the test can check their exam date, session, allotted test centre and city by downloading admit cards using their login ID and password at iimcat.ac.in.
Examination Schedule and Security Measures
The CAT 2025 exam will be held on November 30 in three sessions across designated centres nationwide, with approximately 2.95 lakh candidates registered to appear, according to IIM Kozhikode. The two-hour test will evaluate candidates across Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA).
IIM Kozhikode released a mock test on the official CAT website starting November 12, featuring sample questions designed to help candidates familiarise themselves with the exam format and interface. IIMs have taken additional measures to ensure examination security, including the deployment of mobile jammers in select locations, the IIM Kozhikode statement added.
Download Process and Historical Context
Candidates can download admit cards by visiting iimcat.ac.in, clicking on the admit card link for CAT 2025, inserting their registration number and password on the next window, and submitting to download the CAT admit card 2025. Candidates are advised to check the official portal for the latest announcements regularly.
Last year, 293,000 candidates appeared for the exam, comprising 107,000 female candidates, 186,000 male candidates, and five transgender candidates. The CAT exam was conducted on November 24, with provisional answer keys released on December 3, followed by final answer keys on December 17. The CAT 2024 results were announced on December 19.
Selection Process and IIM Autonomy
Each IIM is independent to mandate its own eligibility criteria (including academic cut-offs and relative weights) and follows different selection processes. Performance in the CAT 2025 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process. IIMs may also use previous academic performance of candidates, relevant work experience, and other similar inputs in short-listing candidates at various stages of the selection process.
CBSE Announces Recruitment for KVS and NVS Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts
The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced a recruitment notification for various teaching and non-teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), according to the official statement. The recruitment will be conducted on a direct basis and is open to eligible Indian citizens.
Application Timeline and Official Portals
Online applications will be accepted starting November 14, 2025, with the last date for submission set as December 4, 2025. The detailed notification for the posts will be released later by the Board. Interested candidates are urged to apply only through the official websites to ensure access to accurate details and procedures: CBSE at cbse.gov.in, KVS at kvsangathan.nic.in, and NVS at navodaya.gov.in.
Expansion and Enrollment Context
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had approved the establishment of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas across 17 states and Union Territories. These schools aim to expand access to quality education for children of Central government employees, especially in underserved regions such as aspirational districts, Left Wing Extremism-affected areas, and hilly or northeastern zones.
With an estimated cost of ₹5,862.55 crore over nine years, the new KVs will include pre-primary sections and are expected to benefit over 86,000 students, adding to the existing network of 1,288 Kendriya Vidyalayas nationwide.
Enrollment Trends and Institutional Framework
According to a written reply by the Ministry of Education's Department of School Education and Literacy, there has been a decline in student admissions in Kendriya Vidyalayas. In the academic session 2020-21, 13,87,763 lakh students were enrolled in KVs, while as of the 2024-25 academic session, 13,50,518 lakh students are studying. Comparing the two academic sessions, there is a drop of 37,245 students, resulting in a decrease of 2.86% approximately.
KVs are run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education. All KVs are affiliated with CBSE and follow a common curriculum based on National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) textbooks. Although the admission process follows specific guidelines and primarily caters to children of Central government employees and defence personnel, others are considered based on seat availability.
CISCE Releases ICSE and ISC Board Exam Schedules for 2026
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has released the schedule for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE – Class 10) and Indian School Certificate (ISC – Class 12) examinations for the academic year 2026, according to the official announcement today. The announcement brings clarity and relief to lakhs of students, parents, and teachers across India and abroad, gearing up for these pivotal board exams.
Comprehensive Examination Timeline
Approximately 2.6 lakh students are expected to appear for the ICSE (Class 10) exams, while about 1.5 lakh students will take the ISC (Class XII) exams. According to the official notification, the ICSE examinations will begin on February 17, 2026, and conclude on March 30, 2026, while the ISC examinations are scheduled from February 12, 2026, to April 6, 2026.
The timetable covers 75 subjects for ICSE and 50 subjects for ISC, maintaining CISCE's tradition of offering a diverse and comprehensive curriculum. This year's examination calendar has been thoughtfully designed to balance academic rigour with student well-being, allowing candidates adequate time between major subjects for preparation and revision.
Student-Centric Approach
The 2026 exam schedule reflects CISCE's continued focus on academic excellence and learner well-being. By providing sufficient intervals between major examinations, the board aims to help students revise thoroughly, manage their time effectively, and perform confidently under reduced pressure. The comprehensive schedule affects approximately 4.1 lakh students combined across both examination levels.
Google Launches Free Comprehensive AI Agents Course on Kaggle
Google has launched a free, comprehensive course on AI Agents, marking a significant advancement in artificial intelligence education, according to today's announcement. Designed to help learners understand, design, and deploy autonomous intelligent systems, the course is open to everyone through Kaggle, Google's data science platform.
Course Structure and Expert Collaboration
The course, initially rolled out as a live event, continues to be accessible to learners, who can watch recorded sessions, complete assignments, and progress at their own pace. Expert contributors from Google, NVIDIA, Cohere, and Grove AI add depth to the curriculum, offering insights into real-world applications of agentic systems.
According to Google, the course delves into how AI agents automate tasks, make decisions, and learn from interactions with their environment. It combines academic theory with hands-on practical labs, providing learners with both the knowledge and tools to create their own working AI agents.
Comprehensive Curriculum Components
The curriculum includes agent architecture covering structure, components, and control mechanisms; tools and frameworks including APIs, orchestration layers, and model-wrappers used in agent development; memory and decision-making explaining how agents recall past data, analyse situations, and make adaptive decisions; and evaluation and scaling for measuring performance and ensuring readiness for real-world deployment.
The five-day program features over 20 video modules, interactive discussions, and coding assignments, culminating in a capstone project that challenges learners to build a functional agent, such as a task assistant or a memory-based chatbot.
Industry Relevance and Accessibility
While most AI learning resources focus on language models or vision systems, this initiative shifts attention to AI agents—self-sufficient systems capable of planning and executing complex tasks autonomously. The collaboration with Kaggle enhances accessibility, allowing participants to revisit sessions, practice independently, and continue learning beyond the event.
AI agents are already being integrated by leading companies such as HubSpot, Adobe, and SK Telecom, signalling a broader industry shift toward agent-driven operations. The course's applied learning approach ensures that participants learn by doing, developing a project-based portfolio by the end. Learners can access the complete curriculum on Kaggle's official website under Kaggle–Google AI Agent Course.
